Overview:
This workshop provides best-practice guidance for preparing successful manuscripts for international scientific journals, with a focus on engineering geology. It is designed to demystify the publication process and equip early-career researchers with the insights necessary to improve their chances of acceptance in high-impact journals.

Workshop Objectives:
To empower emerging scholars with a clear understanding of what editors and reviewers seek in scientific manuscripts, and to foster greater confidence and competence in scholarly publishing.

Key Themes Covered:

  • Editorial Insights: Practical advice from experienced authors and editors on what makes a strong scientific manuscript. This session includes an open Q&A to encourage interactive participation.
  • Sharing Experiences: Participants are invited to discuss their personal experiences—challenges, successes, and frustrations—in writing and publishing. Workshop leaders will respond with constructive feedback and recommendations.
  • Meet the Journal: A focused presentation on the Bulletin of Engineering Geology and the Environment (BOEG)—IAEG’s official journal—followed by a live Q&A session with BOEG editors (in-person or online).
